Wild Blueberry Honey Syrup

Wild Blueberry Honey Syrup

Recipe by Jessica Cording for Wyman’s

Frozen wild blueberries are ideal for whipping up syrups for homemade craft cocktails and mocktails thanks to the rich flavor. You can also use as much or as little as you need without worrying about food waste. This wild blueberry syrup is great for dressing up seltzer but also pairs beautifully with gin, vodka, or bourbon and a generous splash of lemon juice.

  • -1 cup Wyman’s wild blueberries
  • -½ cup honey
  • -1 cup water
  • -2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • Whisk together wild blueberries, honey, and water in a small saucepan over low heat until well combined. Increase the heat to medium and bring a gentle boil, stirring often, until syrup is thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Whisk in lemon juice and turn off heat. Allow syrup to cool before straining out the wild blueberries using a mesh strainer. If desired, you can reserve the berries to muddle into cocktails and mocktails or to make into a jam.
