“Just Add Water” Wild Blueberry Oats

“Just Add Water” Wild Blueberry Oats

 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Wyman’s Whole Dried Wild Blueberries 
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats 
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes 
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed  
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1 cup water 
  • Sweetener of choice (Optional - sugar, monk fruit, coconut sugar, stevia etc.) 

Directions:

  1. In a small bag or airtight container, combine all the ingredients, except for the water.** 
  2. When ready to eat, combine the oat mixture and water in a small saucepan; bring to a simmer.  
  3. Cook, stirring often, until the oats are soft, about 3-5 minutes. 

**Dried ingredients can be combined up to a week before using if stored in an airtight container 

Oats are an excellent source of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber helps to lower cholesterol levels and acts as a prebiotic, providing fuel to the good bacteria in your gut!
